![]() I was never able to finish the original Crash 1 on PS1 because the platforming was too clunky and it was frustrating trying to land where I wanted to. The effect of game controls on difficulty doesn't work like story canon, just because the devs say something is hard doesn't mean we need to worship that as undeniable gospel truth. ![]() The controls are more precise than the original three games, and this is especially true in regards to the first game. This also has nothing to do with being a hardcore gamer. Just because it's not also easier than the original for the devs doesn't mean it's not up for debate and doesn't make it poor design. It doesn't make you a more hardcore gamer, it just makes you someone who mistakenly advocates for poor design because you don't know the difference. ![]() But making excuses for bad design by claiming that you should be able to slip of ledges that you wouldn't have in the originals is pretty silly. If you happen to like it better than the original, good for you, I guess. Originally posted by Realityhack:These aren't up for debate, they've been confirmed by the devs.
